GRC Conference

The conference is way smaller than it used to be when I was up in that area.

It's hard not to pick Maysville or Polo to win this one. Can't count Maysville out as long as Cole is there.

Polo and Maysville have both lost quite a bit, but since Hamilton left and losing a few teams to 8 man and such, the conference isn't what it used to be. SH and Gallatin will be in the mix, but if I had to pick it would be Polo and Maysville.

One of these teams better enjoy the wins this year when everything changes next year when you add a whole bunch of teams to the mix in 11 man. Not going to be easy to win the conference from next year on. But i see Polo taking the conference this season.

What teams are joining?

Trenton, Milan, and Putnam County on the 11 man side. They are also having an 8 man conference.

I can see Trenton and Milan joining. And Milan has been doing alright in the last decade so that'll be interesting. Trenton hasn't had much success since that Vandevender kid graduated bout 7 years ago. But Putnam County? I'm scratching my head on that one. They must like long bus rides.
And another 8 man conference up there? most in the area are already apart of the Highway 275 and the two others that are up there. That's interesting.

The 8 man conference is going to be a bunch of teams from around there. But the 275 and PVC are combining. So, North Andrew, Pattonsburg, St. Joe Christian, and Stanberry are joining. Putnam County is interesting. That will be a long trip but they wanted to go somewhere they can compete.

Not to be that guy... But Putnam County competing anywhere is a stretch. If they can't hang with Schuyler and all of the other rural counties up there to begin with, I don't see this move being very fruitful for them. Not that they won't notch some wins in, but I couldn't see them competing for a conference title anytime soon.
