Grain Valley @ Kearney....who ya got?

Dawgs 42-14
Depends a bit on the weather and will be very interested to see how particularly the offense has evolved since I last saw them for all of one half at Tonka. I doubt GV has the horses on D to slow down Connery and the Dogs D is rolling so would be in the neighborhood of your predicted final at this point.

I liked the energy early in the season speculating how GV and Smithville would do with the conference change. IMO with GV - I think 42-49 points by KMO is right but it will likely take longer than Belton game.

I listened to Belton game replay on radio and it sounded even worse than what I saw in person. Athletic kids, decent size/speed, good coaches---a little dumbfounding. A ton of mistakes.

Smithville still hard to pin down. PC v SM sounded like a mishmash where either team could have won.

Weeks 9, 11 and 12 are the big weeks for the top C4 teams in KC area.

Smithville definitely has some very good skill position talent and the D overall isn't bad at all just wonder what effect blowing a 27-point 3rd quarter lead last week will have when they see Kearney Week 9 and possibly Platte County a second time Week 11.

Not having seen them in person this is just a guess but would suspect Belton's very physically demanding schedule may have worn them down physically and psychologically.

35-7 dawgs. I’m not at the HS anymore to get my inside scoop but the dawgs are rolling and they will role to a state title.

Kearney.. simply because they had a MUCH nicer press box (lots of room) than Grain Valley (Had to do the game from the stands in the rain) last time I broadcast from those to facilities. lol

Hope you are right but State is a long way off yet. I am just hopeful they avoid major injury issues the next 3-4 weeks then let's see what happens.

It is a long ways off but they have the talent to make it happen. The staff would have to see this season as a disappointment if they don't bring the title back to KMO.
