In a recent survey of 1,500 voters, head to head, DeSantis leads Trump by 5% for the 2024 nomination. DeSantis numbers vs Biden are also superior to Trump’s.

However, when a third GOP candidate such as Nicki Haley is included, splitting the anti-Trump vote, Trump takes a 38% to 35% lead. The more people who declare to enter the GOP race, the more Trump benefits.

Even if Fat Donnie loses the GOP nomination, it's become widely speculated that he would run as an independent.

He keeps hoping being a candidate will keep him out of any legal jeopardy. That's exactly why he declared so early then had no campaign events for a while.

I don’t think the republicans want anything to do with him but I agree he may show up an an independent.
There is a dilemma on the democrat side also. Do they they want Biden or Kamala to run again?
