Good grief Chiefs

I wanted to blame Alex Smith, but no..

Losing Eric Berry hurt. The defense had played well while the offense didn't, then today it was the opposite. We are better than the Browns (we don't play them do we)? At least we have the Rams.

Missing the games our defense has played well, lol. Our secondary is GOD awful. They don't tackle they shadow down the field for 10 extra yards trying to strip the ball every play. What's a sack? We used to be league leaders year in year out in sacks and turnovers. Hell we can't even get pressure on opposing QBs. Reid's goofy a$$ play calling drives me crazy. TE passing, reverses on goal line. And who came up with the play faking the handoff to draw the defense to a running back then shuffle passing to him? I do not understand that play at all. I hate the way Hunt comes in for two plays out for two in for one out for three!!!! Atleast today we actually had some type of blitz packages going. Oh well, win the next theee at home and hope for a good draw in the playoffs..

Think Eric Berry more important to this defense then we all realized.

They could play nickel with him and he always seemed to be at the right spot at right time. Both rushing and passing.

Why is anyone surprised by the chiefs? You would have to be willfully ignorant to think the chiefs won’t disappoint you in the end. One championship since coming to KC, how many teams were in the league at that time? Lol come on guys. This IS the chiefs.

There are disappointments as in losing in the first round of the playoffs and there is a whole new level. Even for KC, going from 5-0 to 6-6 is a new level of collapse.

They’ve lost a game with a 28 point lead in the playoffs. Nothing is surprising. I don’t understand chief fans at all lol

Being a chief's fan is like being the wife in an abusive marriage. "He (The Chiefs) didn't mean it. He (The Chiefs) was drunk and didn't know what he (The Chiefs) was doing. He (The Chiefs) said he was sorry and wouldn't do it again. He (The Chiefs) said that this time, things would be different."

Every year, I evaluate my investment (years of ball park hot dogs, beer and grilled pretzels, shirts, jackets, hats, countless hours watching with high hopes, only to be dashed) ... is it time to re-invest in another team?

Yes sir it is lol. I like the team where my wife’s family is from.

As much grief as I give the Chief fans, just stay the course.

As a Vikings fan, I know agony all too well. But even I can say they've been more enjoyable than some programs during my lifetime(Detroit, Cleveland, Miami etc etc...). Chiefs are in the same boat.

I tried to do that after the mizzou thing a couple years ago. Tried to be a hogs fan but it just doesnt click. Hard to be a real fan of another team after being a lifer for the original

You are all right. Cubs fans should've lost their fan hood 100 years ago. it's called being a fan, always believing. We are one of two teams that beat the patriots and we are one of two teams that beat the Eagles. Just saying anything is possible . We've got three very very winnable games at home the Raiders the Chargers and the Dolphins our future and our destiny is in our own hands. If they can find anyone to play in the secondary that can A) cover somebody and B) tackle, I think we can play with anyone. Smith proved again yesterday he is a good QB. The Giants game I think he was the only one that showed up to play and yet it wasn't enough. If Hunt is given more touches and I think if Lewis is more involved in the passing scheme our offense can be very potent. 366 yards and 4 tds should win you games!! Not Alex's fault, gimmick play calling sucks as well. Somebody needs to slap Andy upside the head and point that out because he obviously doesn't realize it after 50 or so failed youth football play calls..,

I've also considered that it could be the NFL version of Rope a Dope... We come out strong and all the attention is placed on us, we decide that maintaining that momentum is too much, so we suck for 6 games so that people stop paying attention. Then, we flip the switch and finish strong..... Oh, wait a minute... I just woke up. Sorry about that. I must have dosed off.

True fans pick their favorite team in the 4th qtr of the Superbowl o_O

As long as I am cheering for an NFL team, it will be the Chiefs. My enthusiasm for the NFL has waned over time. While the Gronk play yesterday was dirty, at least it was real emotion. Not some rehearsed victory celebration. If I wanted to see dancing, I would have went to the ballet. The rivalry the Chiefs used to have with the Raiders was pure dislike for each other. You could feel it. It made the games exciting. It wasn't this sterile, primadonna stuff that fills the league these days.

My lesson in all this is to just be a good fan and be good to other good fans. The less smack I talk the less humbling it is when the train goes off the tracks each year! Rivalries are all good fun but at the end of the day if I don't go overboard? Heck, I didn't go overboard!

Being a Chiefs fan is like having a crush on a stripper. You aren't gettin' nothin', and you are gonna spend a whole lot of money and heart ache chasing that... And just like a stripper, the Chiefs are a bunch of fake ass prima donnas.

You are amazing. You are at a whole new level with these brilliant posts that are technically trolling, but yet are so childlike they bring wonderment to the entire internet. Good day to you sir!
