Tonight in the first round of the Skiatook Invitational, Glendale senior Tristan Baker (son of Pershing Middle School coach Kevin Baker) made a layup with only few seconds left to give the Falcons an 82-80 victory over Tulsa Daniel Webster, ranked 7th in Oklahoma Class 4A. Biggest/best win for Glendale since knocking off Class 4 8th ranked Pacific last season at the Ozark Mountain Shootout.

Monty Johal and Jordan Walton are both over 500 career points. I'm sure they added to those totals tonight. So, Spud Harbour's Glendale scoring record will be going down sometime next season. In fact, Johal/Walton will have an entire senior season to attempt to reach Dorial Green-Beckham's SPS record. GHS needs to make a few deep playoff runs to give those two a real shot at DGB's 2,098 total.

Tomorrow, Glendale faces #2 in Oklahoma 6A Edmond North (coached by Terry Evans and starring his NCAA Div. 1 son) at 5:30 in the semis of the Skiatook Invitational. North blasted #1 6A Mustang on Tuesday by double-digits, so they're really the new number one team in all of Oklahoma.

Had the honor of coaching Tristan just a handful of years ago. Great kid, great family. Sounds like Glendale is rolling.

Lost 84-66! Glendale led at the half 33-31 (we actually controlled most of the first half), but turned it over time after time to start the third. Before you knew it, it was 50-33 with Edmond North in the lead. Scored first to start the fourth quarter to make it 46-54, but then I had to get over to see Parkview-Camdenton. Not sure how it got to 84-66. We still can't play with the big boys. Same result against Kickapoo this year and last, Nixa this year & last, Lafayette last year, etc. Not sure what it's going to take for us to get over the hump. Playing one good half isn't enough against the big teams. Oh, I wouldn't say we're "rolling." Not sure what or where the program is right now, but I wouldn't describe it as rolling.

Johal is averaging 26 a game so far this season and that's about the only thing I've got to talk about in regards to Glendale b-ball at this time.

So nice to see at least one other team in Southwest Missouri has an issue with a rival.

Nixa beat Ozark today in the finals of the Catholic Tourney 61-52 to make it five straight and 10 out of the last 12.

I don't feel quite as badly about Glendale's record against Kickapoo now.

PrepNation has Edmond North ranked 7th in the Southwest region and USA Today Super 25 regional poll has Edmond North at 3rd in the Frontier region.

New FAB 50 rankings came out and Edmond North is 50th in the Nation!
