I'm going with:
Class 1: Walnut Grove
Class 2: East Buchanan
Class 3: Strafford
Class 4: Incarnate Word
Class 5: Rock Bridge

All Dark-Horse picks that haven’t been mentioned. Obviously not consensus favorites.

C1- Leeton
C2- Skyline
C3- Licking
C4- West Plains
C5- Ozark

Homer :D

I'll go with

C1- South Iron
C2 - most wide open of the 5 classes IMO.... Go with East Buchanan due to size and experience advantage over the other top C2 teams
C3 - Whitfield
C4 - Incarnate Word
C5 - Liberty - only given up more than 40 pts 3 times and are undefeated

I just realized I didn't pick any SWMO teams to win despite all my talk about SWMO girls basketball being superior to the rest of the state. This year though it seems like some of the other teams are a slight leg up, mostly because I've seen that the top SWMO teams don't quite have the size and experience of teams in other parts of the state, especially in the lower 3 classes. If it wasnt for IWA I'd be picking one of Rolla, West Plains or Carl Junction to win C4.

Walnut Grove is my second choice in C1.

Also would not be surprised to see one of the three good Central Missouri teams (California, South Calloway, Southern Boone) win C3

And I think Ozark makes the FF at least in C5

I may be 0/5, just throwing something different out there. I do like that 4/5 classes don't have 1 overly heavy favorite. IWA in 4, is going to take a heck of a game from someone to knock them off. Outside of that I think it is really open.

IWA lost one of their big players a few weeks back. They are relying on a few freshman and sophomores. I see someone picking them off before the title game. Parkway North is in their district and they have had their number the last few years in some games and already have handed them one loss this year. The next few years though look promising for them. I wish they would win though and lets move them up.

They can recruit a replacement before district plenty of x

And you still have to time to recruit a new doctor for your drugs to handle anxiety and insecurity. I heard they are coming out with a new one that the FDA hasn't given the ok yet, but probably will when Democrats get back into office to handle your whining and your inability to handle things.

If something happens to IWA then whoever comes out of the CJ, Rolla WP march of death bracket would be a big favorite. Rolla has the advantage of only having to win 1 game against the other teams but based on season results they may be the weakest of the 3 (by a very small margin).

Triggered much. The ideal of them recruiting isn’t even questionable in the Coaching world.

You put Rolfes in an equal talent game. He loses

Democrats? What’s that?

Hes done pretty good on the club level also during the summer going against teams of better talent or equal across the U.S. But you didn't know that did you? And just so you know. Im not a big Dan Rolfes fan. But I'm at least not dumb enough to dispute something that is obviously not true.

I have refereed many of his “big” AAU games. He gets out-coached more often than not

you do not. What big tournaments do you ref? And even if you did. You didnt ref the teams he coached. At most you would have done is one a tournament. Your a joke. One. What tournaments did you ref. Two. What is the name of his club team and what age bracket did he coach?

Knights and could lay out his personal recruiting of a former great player but He doesn’t recruit.

wrong. Hes head of the knights program. Not what hes been coaching. Knights is the pre high school program. Shaking head. You dont even know the teams hes been coaching

sorry , he coached Knights when I reffed. What games has he not had more talent this year that he won.

Knights is a pretty good feeder program.
Private schools have that advantage if good players want to go there it is not a problem. It does not work out so easily for most public schools. IWA has good tradition so they get lots of talent wanting to play there. Hince the never ending debate on private / public. But there are kids every year moving into public school districts that have tradition. If the family is willing to move they usually get to play. If you can't beat them join them mentality. Just my two cents worth.

Dan Rolfes can coach. That's all that needs to be said. You can't hold the fact that he has talent in his program against him.
I would assume you are correct. However lots of times your X and O's are not as important as your Joe's running them. If you have the best athletes and best players you will win the majority of the time. I am sure with all of his state titles he does well with the talent he is given. I would not try to discredit him I believe he is a good coach. Put a good coach in a situation that gets more then their share of the talent and you have the making for a dynasty. 6 of the last 7 state titles, I would say that is a dynasty at least currently. It sucks for those good coaches that have to use the talent they are dealt. But hats off to Rolfes he has helped create what he has.

Completely agree. I realize there is always a lot of talk about the talent level at the privates. I just don't like it when people hold that against a coach.

I think we can all agree that talent trumps everything. When two teams are evenly matched or similar coaching usually comes into play at that point.
