That is always fun for the new coach. Some people tend to look at that situation and not give the new coach a chance, comparing them to the good old days. Often the old coach will replace the new coach in a year or two, unless the new coach is a ball of fire.
Looks like they have a Social Studies and Math job. I've seen worse for openings for a head coach.
anyone aware of the politics in MV and the issue with a few parents will have NO interest. They will not have many applicants.
Lose best 2 players, best teams in school history and a weak schedule. I don't see them maintaining that success. Where did coach go?
I have it on good authority that Doniphan has hired Van Buren asst coach Epps as their new head coach. I believe his first name is Adam but I couldn't guarantee that.

I thought Epps took the boys basketball job at Naylor?
That's possible the guy I asked has a grand daughter that plays at Doniphan but he lives at Naylor. He may have been confused as to which one i was asking about, I'll check again.
My friend said Naylor thought they had Epps but when Doniphan offered him the girls job he took it. He said Shane nearby will be the new baseball coach at Naylor, didn't anything about basketball.
Mike37 I'd say the AD at Festus will handpick the person, since he has a daughter in middle school. She and the rest of her class are pretty good.
Festus probably hires in house. Doesn't look like they have any open teaching positions. If AD has daughter coming up would/could he be the next coach?
They didn't have any seniors on the team and have everyone coming back in a very winnable district.

Ron has lived in Climax for several years. He stays in Festus throughout the school year as a full time sub just to coach. He now gets to coach a solid young group for class 1 level and stay in his home with his wife. he is the GOAT.
