That is what many (some on here) say. The implication is it's proof gas companies take advantage of the higher demand to gouge the drivers. The problem is, it isn't true.

I have made a habit of tracking this and while gas prices do go up for holidays sometimes, over the last 5 years I can't cite one instance of it.
