8 man and Class 4 only two all playing at the same time.

Class 1 through 5 is in D1/D2; D3/D4; D5/D6; D7/D8 order, so top two results will play in semi against each other and bottom two results same.

I BELIEVE I'm correct on semifinal hosting scenarios, but feel free to convince me otherwise and I'll edit.

i thought the way I read the hosting scenarios, Blair Oaks would host Center or Maryville in the semis. I could be wrong, it’s happened one other time.
They would have both hosted the same amount of games since the start of districts and Blair Oaks is in the top half of the bracket.
May not matter will find out soon enough

I hope someone double checks me on hosting. My eyes crossed several times.
I believe (but surely not certain) that IF (big IF) Park Hills Central wins, they would host Eldon and be At Mount Vernon. Both PHC and Eldon would have hosted 3 times, would both be on the road this weekend and since PHC is on top of bracket, would host Eldon. I think.

Personally I'm thinking Webb City would host Platte County. Both are on the road for the quarterfinals, and both played 3 home games in districts, so top team on bracket (Webb) should host semi-finals.

Sound right?

Correct and fixed.

Not that this scenario matters but I think Lamar would host semis if Caruthersville wins. Both hosted 3 with Caruthersville hosting quarters.

You didn't answer the important questions ... can we hang posters? ... can we sit in seating reserved for the home team's band, students, parents, etc? ... will the opponent's head coach call a timeout when it is inconvenient for me? ... what entrance do we have to use? ... will they have sufficient porta-potties and do we have to share them? ... can we bring megaphones and cowbells?

There is no home team, you really should read the MSHSAA Football Manual and educate yourself

I'll never forget the Savannah game. All that build up of they won't have enough seating, and when you tune in to the webcast and the camera is pointed at the visiting stands they are 2/3 full at best. Granted, it was a raw afternoon, but Jesus...

How much time has the Webb City AD spent this week getting volunteers for the concession stands, the gate, the press box staff, parking attendants, etc? How much time has he spent on getting security for the game? Is he in Harrisonville to make sure the field is ready for play? Did he reserve and pay for porta-potties for the game? There are a thousand things the host will do in home games and I assume those continue right through the semifinal games. If I am wrong, ADs, please correct me.

They get a fee for hosting + reimbursements for expenses.

I use to own school buses. In both football and basketball ( sure same way other sports) Playoff games I had to bill MSHSAA for transportation cost for teams not the school.

I think it's all corrected now. Thanks for the help everyone. I've got a headache!

I never said MSHSAA doesn't take the money and then pretend to pay a fee to the host team (aka the home team) but they do none of the work; the home team does everything.

MSHSAA does not reimburse anymore. They will pay for refs out of gate, that is it. They take theirs and put it in their pocket. No meal expenses if you go to state, or any other stuff.
