Hello all by the way from the Louisiana gulf coast this is very sobering.
I think there will continue to be a trickle of 11 man teams going 8 man. Half of the Class 1 teams in the state are struggling with numbers; to the point where 3 or 4 down seasons (or small classes) could do them in.
They should just go JV for a year like class 3 clinton did. Look at how much it helped them.
Princeton board rejected recommendation to move to GRC West (8-man division) back in March. New vote coming Nov. 14, and my gut says it will pass. Meanwhile, Princeton's board voted on Oct. 10 to play 8-man in junior high starting in 2023. And, the community-sponsored elementary program (grades 4-6) played 8-man this season.
Statement from the school says Princeton is forfeiting this week's game. The district game is undecided as of now.
