Yikes. That's some bad numbers. Mo has called him out. It's not likely to end well. If he just doesn't like StL then he should waive his no-trade and go try somewhere else. But who would even take him at this point even if the Birds paid his salary?

The worst thing I got from Bernie's piece is no RBI's from RF in June. That's shocking. How can an MLB team play an entire month and not get one RBI from the RF position? Bader does play hard but he hasn't been much better at the plate.

Your GM, who was stupid enough to sign an aging player to the big money deal, needs to grow some balls and just DFA him

He's absolutely miserable. The fans hate him and at this point, I think it's a mutual feeling from him & his wife. There have always been questions about the clubhouse in STL.....and now you have one of the happiest players in the league who looks absolutely miserable every day.... Yeahhhhhhhhhhh. Mo just needs to say I screwed up, pay Dex his money & move on

Holland, Cecil, Leake, Fowler, Reyes burned out, players hiding injuries from trainers....

And add in Hack Gate

Mo is going to throw everyone under the bus, not named Matheny, to cover his own awful recent moves

I see they have placed Fowler on paternity leave. Maybe we can give him the full 9 months? :D

If I’m Mo, there’s no way I DFA him until Fowler mans up and waives the no trade. That at least gives the Birds the opportunity to get something of value from him. If Fowler agrees to waive it, then shop him the best you can. If nothing presents itself, then DFA. But to just give Fowler exactly what he wants, when he’s basically handling this like a spoiled brat, would be silly.

He's not publicly commenting on the team or upper management...... Like Mo. He doesn't even have the freaking balls to stand by his comments made when Fowler isn't even around to respond. Coward

There is a big difference. I guarantee you, he would waiver that no trade clause in a heartbeat to leave STL. He's going to get paid either way. I'm guessing his wife has everything ready to be packed up anyways

I was surprised when I heard they had signed him and then went into total shock when I heard the numbers (years and $). Had serious doubts then and even more now.

That’s MO’s job. Not Fowlers. His is to play baseball, and he’s getting paid a pretty penny to do it as badly as he is. Same can be said about Mo, to a lesser extent in his role as GM. This probably won’t end well for any party. If Fowler actually had a decent work ethic, I’d be more sympathetic. When you’re last in and first out, and you’re underperforming, it’s really hard to swallow...Plenty of Birds fans would be willing to hell her pack. I know I’d lend a hand. He’s worthless as a ref later and doesn’t seem willing to put in the work to get better. Keep in mind, it’s crazy out of character for Mo to make a comment like that. Not like he’s making stuff up. Kind of dumb for him to say it at all really.
