Four weeks in here are two teams to watch intently..............

1) NIXA. Was very shocked to see (I follow MS among other states) one of Mississippi's top HCs hire on here. He led Pearl MS to at least one 6A title (thought I remembered another) and is already turning things around there in a BIG WAY. They are likely to go Class 6 and will be a major contender................

2) HELIAS CATHOLIC. Didn't take too long for Hentges to get that program back rolling. This week's game vs. Rock Bridge is the only competitive one left in their regular season. They should stay Class 4. If so this may be your champion.

Rock Bridge isn't very good, despite what their record shows right now. Helias should win pretty easily.

Apparently not enough to get in @Mrs. Bosko 's good graces. 💔

Yeah the nephews needed someone to look after them during first all virtual learning and starting this week hybrid schooling. I wasn't doing anything and much prefer green grass and hardwood leaves falling to inhaling wildlife smoke. Scoring tickets to the West Point home opener last Friday night was a nice bonus.

Funny how it takes a few weeks to find out. Week 1 I thought Staley at Rock Bridge was a huge measuring stick game...............for both.

No way to really comment until district and class comes out tomorrow. Of those you list up this way Lincoln Prep is very senior heavy just wish they could play a stronger schedule (Maryville game will be very interesting one). Smithville is really, really well coached so maybe (would not have said that preseason). Savannah would be a no.

Valle will be extremely interesting without a doubt. Playing teams more on their level, frankly.
 
Nixa @ Webb City will be a huge game in swmo . I can't wait for it ! Also and this may sound crazy but Carl Junction is 1-3 ... probably 1-4 after they play Webb this week but can definitely make some noise in class 4 with Webb out of the picture. They Had Carthage beat and frankly blew it . They had a bit of head scratcher against Branson and lost by 1. Then they stood toe to toe with Joplin for 3qtr . I don't think they are as good as the CJ teams of 3-4 years ago but they are pretty solid and I'd like their chances against Bolivar , WP etc

The new Nixa HC will love this, too. He will be absolutely GUSHING about your RB (Weathers) guaranteed. I recommend everyone watch this one.

If Jackson somehow stays Class 5 they would likely play Webb City in the semifinals.

2017 was NW-SW so you would be right. Once district assignments come out (hope for today) we will, of course, all be able to map this all out. Will say this, though, WOW what a title game that would be! Over under may be north of 100.......

And it looks like Jackson vs. Webb City is ON. Anything, of course, can happen but that one looks inevitable.
 
PRAYERS we get this virus under control and fans, not just the legions from each school and community that will attend, across MO get a chance to see this one! Don't want to count chickens (injuries can always happen) but I don't see anyone else disrupting this happening.
 
A total mouthful here: This Weathers kid may be the best RB I've ever seen at Webb..............

Made multiple false accusations last year when they came to the Pit. Reported that the Indians trashed the visitor's locker room after the Tribe won 56-12 (which video evidence clearly disproved.) Also, the Spartans stomped on the Jackson logo prior to the game, looking directly at the Indians sideline. On top of it all, they made multiple accusations that Jackson fans and players used racial slurs during the game, which all eye-witness accounts declined. So yeah, it's safe to say that there's a little bad blood left over from last year.

OH yeah I remember that now. Nothing to that extent at Carthage, just stood out compared to other teams I've seen in terms of cheap shots, mouthing off at refs and players. Just a different breed of football that what I'm used to seeing around here.
