BUT,,,as it turns out the formula produced by the plant was NOT responsible for any of the reported sicknesses or deaths per CNN

"In the end, however, testing by the FDA and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that the genetic sequences of the Cronobacter samples from inside the plant did not match any of the bacteria isolated from the sick children or the formula inside their homes, so there was no link found to the Sturgis facility."

You forgot the part about them having to be babysat because their factory was a dump.

"The baby formula manufacturer at the heart of a nationwide formula recall said Monday that it has reached an agreement with the US Food and Drug Administration to enter into a consent decree, a legally binding agreement that would require the company to take certain steps in response to violations found at its Sturgis, Michigan, facility."

Lol there are violations found at every food processing facility at every inspection. Go walk thru a Tyson kill plant and you will never eat another chicken nugget

Never eat nothing but a whole chicken that is for sure. We toured one in College for a Class.....strange to see a half rotted chicken...and then the rotted part is cut off and the good pieces sold in the individual pieces packages.

It's about impossible to mass produce food and not have waste and spoilage that must've dealt with. They are steam cleaning and sanitizing multiple times a day but there is still going to be some bacteria present

Oh I understand all that...the point was after you visualize all that you will never want to eat pieced chicken again. I just bought a big bag of Chicken Breast from Costco and some Chicken thighs from Sam's in the last couple of weeks. So I eat pieced out chicken all the time. But on occasion I recall that plant tour and the whole process and it makes me wince a bit.

I try to explain to everyone that the only way to feed the masses is with Feed Lots, commercial Chicken Houses, and commercial Pig farms. You can't free range all that stuff. And have affordable food for this country and have it on demand like we want. And as you said we can't waste and chuck out food that is edible after it has been processed to be safe either.
