That was nearly 3 years ago. What happened since?
They fired 1,000 workers at the US plant they said they were expanding and deferred production of electric vehicles from that plant out until 2023.
A lot of the "we aren't going to invest overseas in this one specific instance, we're going to spend money here" from a company like an automaker is them taking PR credit for investments they were already going to make anyway.
