Football in the Spring?

it was discussed on here a couple of months ago and dont necessarily think it will happen.. But, how would you feel about the possibility of delaying the football season until the Spring? Maybe move some "less contact" sports to the fall?

Not necessarily in favor of it, but there has been some talk, in some places about whether this would work or not.

Maybe. I don’t see anyway they have fall sports in high school this year

I've thought that made logical sense all along, but the world isn't logical right now. Track, Tennis, Golf and Baseball are the perfect low contact sports to switch places with football. Move cross country to the spring. Don't think there will be any sports this fall though. Jackson County (Kansas City area) has just imposed mandatory face masks starting tomorrow. Who knows how long that will last.

I don’t mind the idea but I think we are more likely to get a shorter season, I think it will be hard to justify kids playing all the way to December

I say play in the fall and spring. Cancel all those minor sports and shorten basketball by three weeks to train hard for spring football. Play baseball in your back yard and soccer in elementary PE where it’s appropriate.
