just reported the Floria coach has the virus if I was a betting man I would vote against the SEC making it to the end of the season.

I assume Ilovewatching refers to you, Bosko and his wife.

Remember when they cancelled an SEC game for the Flu? Me neither. Swamp drained.

quarantines and cancellations are more a product of the fear of the big-mouth liberals than they are a fear of the virus. Liberals are great at imposing their will through shame and intimidation. People of reason just go along out of a need for self preservation.

You mean those “liberals” running the state of Florida and the SEC? Bahahahahaha. Try again Bud.
There you go again: “rah rah Corona!!!” Leading the cheers for the virus. Let me help you understand what I wrote: The mob has learned that even reasonable people will cave under their pressure; especially conservatives who are on the receiving end most times. The fear of the protest, rioting, media and the cancel culture liberal is greater than the fear of the virus. And even greater than the consistent practice of common sense.

Aw

I was planning to watch the Gators Saturday. I wasn’t rooting for a virus. You are paranoid and losing it, bruh. Literally no one was protesting and calling for that game to be cancelled. But your drama is entertaining.
You have such a hard time understanding. It’s the threat of the protest. The decision to quarantine comes from either a fear of the virus, or a fear of the liberal. The Gators were not the topic of my post.
As for rooting for the virus, there is a sick compulsion that liberals share: hoping for the worst. To them everything is the end of the world and as long as they keep saying it, they’ll be right one day. They can barely hide their joy over every catastrophe that might make them right. They revel in it. Especially when they can find a villain to blame it on. It is the reason they exist.

You've lost your mind, Covidiot...inject some clorox and go to bed.

Did you see the White House is pushing the red state of Tennessee to implement a mandatory state-wide mask mandate?

Proves my point: some are motivated by fear of the virus, others are motivated by fear of the mob. I think we know the answer to this one.

CDC data on recovery by age group:
0-19 99.997% survival
20-49 99.98% survival
50-69 99.5% survival
70 & up 94.6% survival

This should be good news, but because it is good news, most people don’t know it. And the “rah-rah corona” crowd are probably digging for contradictory facts right now.

This thread was about the gators coach/game. Get a grip bro. No liberal pressured them to cancel this game. You are losing your sh@+.
When you’re a liberal you have a hard time connecting the dots. I get it. The Gator game was cancelled because the decision makers fear one of two things: either the virus or the mob. I expanded on that to include all decision makers everywhere. Of course the mob pressures people with threats and intimidation, whether understood or spoken. If you can’t follow, just ignore.

Are there only two possible binary outcomes: 1) death or 2) survival with everything fine and dandy? Or do some of the survivors experience longer-term complications? If so, what are they, and for how long? If you don't know, that's ok, because nobody does (the virus has only been in the US for a few months. Long-term complications aren't known, yet.

Let’s how long it takes after 7:30 am Monday for a Bosko response.
Okay you bozos and clowns!! For one, I don't know how many times I have to tell you folks, I AM RETIRED!! I am on here WELL before 7:30 AM!!! NICE TRY!! Second, thank you for acknowledging my wife and the fact that we are still married.

For some people metacognition is a near impossibility. The ability to realize that they are using fallacious logic is just not in them (particularly the specious logic of the either/or fallacy).

I look at it this way: by engaging in an argument with a person, I am implicitly saying that I think they're sane and that maybe they can be persuaded by reason and logic, or, failing that, they can at least weigh evidence and come to logical conclusions about their beliefs (which can sometimes inadvertently persuade a person). Why continue when the person proves otherwise?

So we live in fear for 5-10 years until there's enough actual anecdotal data to sort through it all? Mask it up for then next 5-10 years? Or just live your life and take the precautions you see fit? And be okay with the rest of the country doing that as well? Dan Mullen is right, pack the Swamp...if there are enough people that want to pack it.

Don't post the numbers. It shifts the conversation quickly.

People who say the virus is just the flu or less need a reality check. Wife's best friend is still suffering from COVID, three weeks later. This thing is real.

BTW - Dan Mullen backed on that Pack the Swamp comment.

I had influenza A for the first time in my life Feb 2019. I wasn't the same for three weeks. Literally coughing up garbage during a workout every morning for nearly a month. Pretty sure my neighbors lived in fear of my workout and the sounds coming from the garage. Viral infections are nasty. It's just we don't have the 40% success rate vaccine to slow this one a tad.

He did...I'm sure all on his own...I'm with his original statement.

And the thing is, the information that we do have is ever-evolving and changing. There are just so many unknowns with COVID-19.

A paraprofessional at a middle school in Olathe, KS has died due to COVID-19 per KSHB.

Tough day so far for local Kansas City educators.

Oh!! @RawMeat was only off by 26 minutes!!

It's kinda humorous the KC/PCP's (Kansas City/Political Crap Posters for the uninitiated) just glossed right over the thread derailment attempt. I'm afraid the Doc Guys may have lost this one.
Are you even still an Honorary Doc Guy?? You should know that we do NOT derail threads!! We simply use our sage advice and relate our experiences from the docs back to the original thread topic. But thats besides the point on this one.

I only commented because two NON Doc Guys mentioned me!! No one was trying to derail anything! NICE TRY THERE BOZO!!!!

You derail threads more than you derailed your marriage!!!

But I do appreciate the occasional doc guy derailing. Its an important part of Mosports culture
Doc Guys do NOT derail threads!! We have been saying this since day 1!!! We simply offer sage advice and relate our experiences from the docs back to the original thread topic. Do we often get into some witty banter? Sure! Does it occasionally get us into trouble? Of course! What witty banter doesnt cause a little trouble!?

I really hate to tell you this, you are out of your mind. They don’t fear a mob or “pressures” they rightfully fear this.....

Should we break out every Dr statement and video that flat out gives the opposite point of view? The empty hospitals and furloughed medical workers over the last 7 months? Oh wait, we can’t. Those have been censored. Btw: Rachel Maddow? Really? You should be embarrassed.
