Any good games coming up this week?

It has been quiet for a few weeks in here! Fill me in on the upcoming games we should be looking forward to or the tournament brackets that are out.

Both teams have high expectations for the year. Should be a good one! Is it being broadcasted anywhere?

Rolla starts their season tomorrow on the road at Sullivan. These two teams have battled it out the past two years. They both lost some key players to graduation. I think Rolla's Junior class will be to much for Sullivan to handle but we will know soon enough.

Licking beat St. James 46-44, Rolla beat Sullivan 71-43. Is Licking still good? I thought they graduated a lot?

Also, Borgia lost to Owensville 71-55. Pretty sure Borgia was a favorite to win their conference.

They lost their big girl and all state guard. I think she was their all time leading scorer but could be wrong?

They did lose those two but return plenty of talent including a girl who didn't play last yr

Opening game of SEMO Conference NMCC defeated Jackson 63-60. Jackson played without last year’s leading scorer in Maddie Lambert who was out due to illness. SEMO conference tournament kicks off next week.

I haven’t seen a full tournament bracket yet, but Carthage plays Kickapoo this Thursday. Might be a better game than expected.

I think Carthage is improved but I will be surprised if they give Kickapoo a game.

Sullivan lost everyone. I havent seen the seeding yet for their tournament but if they are seeded higher than 5 Id be very surprised. I saw Borgia did lose but their big girl leading scorer and shot blocker didnt play. But i said before Owensville will be decent. They will have trouble with any team that has a few taller athletic girls. They will live and die by the three

I saw Carthage at the Jamboree when they played Miller. I was not that impressed. I think Miller was up 18-2 after the first quarter. Kickapoo will beat everyone in the Carthage tournament by at least 20.

I know Miller is a small school, but they return pretty much everything and will win 25 or so games if the season happens. They just beat what should be a really good Mansfield team by 32.

The Miller win over Mansfield was pretty impressive. Depending on how things shake out as far as classifications, they will have plenty of competition - Sparta, Skyline, Blue Eye, maybe Ash Grove will be some pretty stiff competition. Some of those schools may still be Class 2, others will move up to Class 3.

I know Miller is a small school, but they return pretty much everything and will win 25 or so games if the season happens. They just beat what should be a really good Mansfield team by 32.

25 wins would be a great season with their schedule. They have 5 games in next 9 days. Webb City, Lamar then Kickapoo this week then Fair Grove and Webb City again next week. 3-3 or 4-2 would be a good start to the season.

I didn't look to see how their schedule looks compared to last year, so they might have a lower win total depending on that. I was just looking at what they did last year and knowing that they return almost everything. Either way, they'll be a handful for almost anybody besides maybe the top big schools.
