First time since 2009

Things have a way of balancing out; it’s almost capitalist in a sense (though I’m NOT trying to be political). The rest of the state (especially in Class 2) had the choice to sit idly by while teams like Lamar and Webb kept winning titles, or to step up their games by whatever means necessary; meanwhile the law of diminishing returns was eventually going to catch up with teams with like Lamar and Webb.

You can question the means all you want, im still MASSIVELY impressed with what was clearly a concerted effort by STL area schools over the last few years to catch up with the West, and in my opinion, it’s good for Missouri football as a whole!

Now it’s the West that will be playing catch-up to the STL area schools and Missouri Football will be better because of it.

For those who may think this creates a culture of haves and have-nots, you make the mistake of thinking that anything other than state title is a failure of a season; the rest of the teams in the state still have conference and district titles to fight for.

You really enjoy reading your own garbage, dont you.

Whether its right or wrong I think MSHSAA will do something about it when they see Revenues from attendance this year and future. Sad but Money talks...

Does it stink that so many posters on this forum now are pretty much done for the season? Oh wait, Im sure they won't be. Half of them will spend the next year complaining of yesterdays results and demanding change.

Either Lamar or Webb City will not be in State Championship game. Pretty impressive run.
Just to bring this string back to it’s beginning; with the exception of the 2007 season sectional playoff loss at CARTHAGE on a last second FG I also believe every state class 4 champion this century has either been WC (10 times) or the eventual champion had to defeat WC in the playoffs. Nearly 2 decades of an impressive run that will continue with a Ladue win Friday.

Only the ones with integrity will demand change.

People who have to resort to name calling typically do so because they don’t have a valid counterpoint

Name calling? Good one. Bahahaha
Inequality is great. I bet if I won the lotto
it would fix my local economy too. Now what name was called?

MSHSAA’s not going to stop it; Hell, the only time MSHSAA even thought about taking action to improve competitive balance it was to stop PUBLIC schools like Lamar and Webb from winning consecutive titles (remember the whole “consecutive titles means an automatic bump in Class” thing? And now after ONE year of STL private’s finally breaking through, everyone loses their minds!)

So...

If MASHSAA’s not going to stop it, and they’re not going to make a private school class (something they’ve also shown no interest in), then the only thing left for everyone else to do is to find a way to compete (whether it’s improving off season programs, coaching philosophies, whatever it may be) thus making the state better in the sport over all, or to sit and sulk.

What’s your solution; give everyone a trophy?

Regarding your lottery analogy, does making the minimum wage 100k a year solve poverty in America? ...or does it just raise the cost of a Big Mac to $50?

The saddest thing about this "discussion" is you most likely aren't trolling and actually believe the nonsense you are saying.

Sticks and stones...
I know you are but what am I...
Tough guy...
Snowflake...
Blah blah...

You are a 70 year old child who’s only recourse in any given argument is to attack and insult (shows how strong your arguments are...)

I’ve been on these boards for over 10 years and the private topic has almost always revolved around Class 1 Valle (mean while the rest of the classes have been dominated by public’s); look no further than Veer’s recent topic “Welcome to the world of private’s, non class 1 fans!”

He’ll, I might be way off; I wouldn’t know because I haven’t heard any arguments to the contrary, just...

Garbage...

Wrong again. There were a bazillion threads
about John Burroughs and "The Rock" in the past 10 years. Over and over again.

Garbage is an opinion on your post not a name.
Nice try though.

With the help of MAHSAA.org, by my count, over the past 10 years only FIVE private’s have won state titles in Classes 2-6; that’s only FIVE out of 50 state title games in classes 2-6 over the past 10 years... (give or take; feel free to double check my work)

Burroughs: One title over the past 10 years.
Rockhurst: One title over the past 10 years

Darn these pesky facts! (Again, I may have missed one or two, but at least I’m willing to admit it)

Ugh! The sermon is only so long at Sunday night church (I’m not going to do ALL the work ;))
