The ONLY thing he thinking about is saving his own ass come election time, just like some dude from South Carolina that used to be a moderate pub that could work across the aisle and was best friends with John McCain. I'd bet he wouldn't be doing what he's doing now if McCain was still alive and in office.he should be ashamed of what he's doing these days! He was in Saudi Arabia telling reporters that this impeachment trial will be over with quickly and HE would do everything his power to make sure it is.

The House is the pre-trial portion. Anyone claiming Trump is impeached because the House votes to do so is just lying (what libs do best). The House is the equivalent of the prosecuting attorney deciding to bring charges and go to court. There has only been one POTUS ever impeached and Trump won't be the 2nd.
You are correct Veer. The House impeaches then it goes to the Senate where they either convict or acquit. For the record there has been 2 Presidents impeached. Clinton was impeached by the House but acquitted by the Senate.
Impeached has the conotation of guilt requiring removal from office. My point was that being charged with a crime doesn't mean guilt.

Technically he's right but Americans won't consider Trump impeached any more than Clinton who it is said that Republicans in the House voted to impeach. No one thinks of Clinton as having been impeached but they do consider Nixon to have been impeached even though he just resigned.
Um, no. Clinton was definitely impeached, he just wasn't convicted or removed from office.
Trump will be impeached, been calling that for months, but he won't be convicted (you know since the whole thing is a sham and there is no convictable offense). He will win re-election in 2020 and the Dems will continue to cry about it.
First they would have to win the House which if Trump is re-elected is unlikely.
