Well LS is coming off a big win against LS West so we know they have a good team. Thats why it will be all the sweeter tonight. Thats right Joplin shocks at least this football board lol. I'm anxious for this game, it will tell me a lot about this team a win or close lose and Joplin had a good team. a blow out lose and the ozark conf. was as weak as the experts thought.

Next year the Eagles move to apparently the best conference in the state (sub 7 ;) ). Teams with a plethora of state titles, Webb , Branson and um Webb Branson and um........ hmmm well great programs. Joplin will enter the coc with the second most titles only to webb.

As much as I'd like to see Joplin win this, I'll be thoroughly surprised if they keep it within 14 points of LS. Surprise me Joplin. Please.

Joplin is conference champ, they are at home and it is a long road trip and after the way they manhandled Camdenton last week it tells me they can compete. LS will not be easy, they are well coached and they play a tremendous schedule and have dealt with injuries to key skill players. They may be peaking at the right time. On the other hand they may have a let down after an emotional effort and victory over their main rival last week. Should be a game worth seeing for sure. Those are my thoughts, don't have anymore to offer since I haven't seen either team in person or on film.

As usual, the Conference will hurt Joplin. LS isn’t having any trouble at all. Sad, really.

Nope

well Joplin made way to many mistakes to play a solid team like LS. They did all things tonight they couldnt do and win. Blitz and the safety doesnt shift over leaves the wr wide open for a 50 yd Td. Muffed a qb/rb hand off no defender near him LS recover in joplin territory. Threw an interception on LS 5 yd line no points. Hiked over the qb head for a safety. Gave up to many big plays on def. Off. didnt execute on several plays.

with all that negativity said this Joplin team has heart. They are better than they showed tonight and I have had a blast watching them the last 9 weeks. The seniors did a great job leading and they will be missed. Joplin has about 8 players on both sides of the ball back for next year and they enter the coc so let the fun begin.

Not to take anything away from LS but everything that could have gone wrong did for Joplin. Their youth showed up tonight at the most inopportune time. The kids will learn from this. I believe we have 7 returning starters on each side of the ball back for next year. Skill positions are mainly sophomores. The program took a step forward this year. The kids have bought into Coach Jasper who is a great coach and is slowly changing the culture. It's a process. It's different than in past years. There have been many years when my first thought after the last Joplin game of a season was "man I'm glad this season is over." Not this year. Already looking forward to next year. The future is bright especially as we head into the tougher COC Conference. Looking forward to the rivalries and excitement with Webb, CJ, Neosho, Carthage, et al. Not sure exactly how Joplin will do but they will definitely compete.

I was disappointed, though not necessarily shocked when I saw the score. It's tough to compete in class 6 when most of your schedule is average class 4-5 teams with a few above average teams of varying strength depending on the year. I don't really see how the COC will change that significantly.

All things considered, I agree that Joplin is headed in the right direction. Watching tv highlights and reading the globe, it looks like they've got a lot of enthusiasm and a full stadium, which is impressive because it's a large stadium. I think they are well poised to do some damage next year if they build upon this season. I was looking forward to their presence in the COC before this season but even more so now!

I agree the coc and oc are very similar with the exception on webb. Its a great move for joplin for a number of reasons and should be fun for everyone involved.
