I am interested to see if anyone has any thoughts about the game on Friday. I know the last time De Soto has beaten Festus in football was in the fall of 2000. Memorable game, De Soto led for most of it, Festus tied it and game went to OT. De Soto scored first and converted a 2pt. after Festus jumped offsides on the PAT. Festus scored a TD but lost when the 2 pt. try was stopped by a player who was killed in an accident less then a year later. Festus went on to the state semis that year.......... anyway, since that game De Soto has lost every single one to Fesuts, some very close and some very ugly.
This year, I don't know. Seems to be pretty even on paper, but if De Soto is still banged up on offense, it could spell trouble. I would think Festus would be the favorite. Thoughts?
