First thought, and of the top 4 could beat each other. St. James has beat Fatima and lost to BO by 3. They also have Rolla on their schedule to play still.

It’ll be a good tournament for them and the others to test their strengths. Belle’s schedule so far has been quite weak. If it was up to me, I would have flipped Belle with Steelville. They can beat St. James because STJ starts very slow and shoots terrible before warming up in the second half but they’re also very inconsistent. Anyone in the top 4 can win. St. James can play with all of them. But their inconsistency and poor starts have cost them a lot already this year.

Steelville's system works for them. They're young, but they understand where they need to be, and how to play their 1-3-1. Have girls who can shoot it from the outside as well. I haven't seen Belle this year as of yet.

Rolla is coming in on a 7 game win streak, after winning the Rolla Christmas tourney. Third seed might have been a bit low. They are young but big and have a deep bench. Their freshman class has put them over the hump.

The top three in this tournament are very strong. Belle and Steelville should be a good game if they play in the consolation finals.

I would bet on Rolla to win this event...they are coming in playing well and they are BY FAR the largest school in the event. If I am Fatima...that semi-final matchup is looking scary...a Fatima vs Rolla semi-final game could be a high scoring affair if both teams stick true to their styles and press each other.

Should be an interesting week in Westphalia.

If Rolla continues to improve as a program I would not be surprised if they moved on to a different tournament or don't get asked back. Not that they have done anything wrong, but they are a gigantic class 4 and I think that whole field is class 3, so Rolla is three or four times bigger than all those schools.

The Comet chronicle tweeted some of the teams records last night
Blair Oaks 9-3
Fatima 10-2
Rolla 8-2
St. James 7-6
Belle 10-1
I think Steelville has only lost maybe 3 as well??
There should be some good games.

First round games will be updated as the night progresses.

Belle led 6-1 after 1 and 13-9 at halftime, STJ led 21-20 after 3

Belle's schedule is largely responsible for the 10-1 record.

St. James is 8-8...and looking at their opponents...that is impressive. They have two guaranteed wins on that schedule...the rest of their games are brutal.

Rolla is rolling and should be ranked this week. They have all the necessary ingredients to win in any type of game necessary.

Steelville seems to be finding their way...they aren't all that impressive...but they are well coached and are making the most of what they have.

Fatima threw a curveball in the St. James game. For a team that has pressed EVERYONE for two years straight to come out in a 2-3 was eye-catching.
