Fatima vs. St. James JV @ 4pm
Steelville vs. Eldon @ 7pm
Blair Oaks vs. Cuba @ 830pm
St. James varsity vs. Belle @ 530pm

All 1st round games are Monday 1/11/21 starting at 4pm

The top half of that tournament is really strong. Eldon has a good freshman and could give Steelville a bit of a game. Fatima, Blair Oaks, St. James, or Steelville could win the tournament. Eldon should win consolation side.

I'm not sure if she's a freshman or sophomore, but there's a girl for Eldon that is a good player, so they are a much tougher team than they were last season.

Fatima is the team to beat. It would be interesting to see them match up with St. James.

St. James beat Steelville last night by 4 points. I see Fatima and St. James in the final in this tournament but STJ has to revenge the buzzer beater BO gave them earlier this season

Friend of mine up that way told me they have a freshman who can really handle the rock. She can score, but doesn't have to, and she can really distribute and makes every one around her better. They have a sophomore who dropped 40 on Buffalo and 39 on Eugene. Have another sophomore who is improving but fall off after that. Severe lack of height makes competing with some teams problematic. That's his report from the bleachers.

Fatima, Blair Oaks, and St. James should all win pretty easily. The game of the night in the first round is definitely Steelville against Eldon. Steelville will win I think, but Eldon might be surprisingly competitive.

What was different from earlier in the year when Blair Oaks beat St. James by 2? Was someone out for St. James that first game, someone out for Blair Oaks this game? That seems like a pretty big turnaround.

I heard St. James has a couple really good freshman, maybe they are figuring out how to play on the varsity level. I too was surprised on this score. Sounds like St. James could pull off a #1 seed in their district if they beat up on Fatima like they did Blair Oaks.

St. James was ready for Blair Oaks last night and Blair Oaks did not seem interested. St. James freshman was decent but I would say that there are at least two other freshmen in that tournament that are better than them.

This was probably the most puzzling move of the tournament. Blair Oaks had success playing them in a zone in the first meeting so why change? Not sure if they were trying something in case they see each other in districts or what?
