The California Lady Pintos fell in the opening round of the Mexico Tournament on Monday night to Father Tolton, 42-37.
California jumped out to an 11-5 lead after the first quarter. Tolton outscored the Lady Pintos 14-7 in the second quarter to lead 19-18 at the half. California held a 31-29 advantage going into the forth quarter.
Cameron Meyer led the Lady Pintos with 11 points.
California drops to 0-2 and will face Columbia Battle on Wednesday night at 6pm. Father Tolton improves to 2-0.
Battle beat Mexico 56-31 last night in the other game.
