As a Cowboy's fan that sucks.
As a Cowboy's fan with Ezekiel Elliot as a protected player in a keeper fantasy league...that really sucks.
Well Urban Meyer isn't exactly pure as the driven snow but he coached Aaran Hernandez and Tim Tebow so I don't blame anyone but Elliott for being in this predicament.

I'm not a Cowboys fan at all, I hate them actually and Jerry Jones makes my skin crawl. I'm also not an Ezekiel Elliott apologist. But what exactly was he suspended for? Does the fact that he was not charged with a crime of any sort make any difference? I've followed this board enough to know that Mitsurugi hates everything about Zeke and would naturally celebrate his failures, but are you really fine with Goodell's seeming ability to act without rhyme or reason?
Do we really want the NFL to be this way? Right now we have a league with an overstepping Comish who can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants without explanation or consequence. I'm not a ranting and raving hater of Goodell but for all the good the man has done, he has absolutely no credibility left. He initially only suspend Ray Rice for what, 2games? At least until the tape was leaked, and now he's suspending a guy who in the eyes of the law didn't do anything warranting a charge and he gets triple the punishment? Makes no sense.
The NFL went down after it changed the coverage rules downfield...followed by the rules "protecting the QB." This has a been a long term bleed...but now it has gotten worse in the past 10 years... for example: Pass interference calls per attempt have increased from 1: 105 plays in 2008 to 1:80 plays in 2012. This has had the adverse effect of increasing holding penalties. The ticky tack downfield calls make my blood boil. Their product sucks.
No, I am absolutely not fine with Goodell or hardly anything he has done as comish; I believe he is ruining the sport of American Football and he should have been fired over a decade ago (shortly after he started).
And I don't hate Zeke; my then 9 year old son and I watched and rooted hard for him in the first College Football Playoff Championship game.
What I hate is the fact that I got so much flack on these boards for calling him out for his attitude, so naturally I take every possible pleasure in the times that Zeke's behavior supports my original assessment (like when he called out his Ohio State coaching staff his final year for not giving him the ball more, or when he pulled a girls top off for onlookers at a parade, both of which he did on camera, so no witness discrepancies there...)
Who cares !? People still watch the NFL ? I haven't watched an Nfl game in over 6 years.
Between grown men complaining they're not making enough money and all the horrible rules makes the games unwatchable imo.
I'll enjoy my high school sports and leave the crying over money and the drama of the nfl to anyone who likes those type of things.

I get why you hate the dude, totally understandable. I don't knock you for it, but really his actions haven't caught up with him, and that is my point. Charges weren't pressed, the law did not find him culpable, and yet he was still punished. For what?
The NFL is going C.Y.A after they pissed the bed over Ray Rice and not to be hyperbolic (because I'm not an old fart who moans about the increased PI calls
) it is damn near tyrannical. I'm starting to wonder where it will stop.I love the NFL, I have Chiefs season tickets and go to just about every home game. I love high school ball just as much, but I'm telling you right now there is very little in this world as awesome as NFL sunday. I gotta question anyone who thinks the NFL game is unwatchable. Needless to say I'm a tried and true NFL fan but at this point I'm really disgusted with Goodell.
