Ok. Bama QB was flushed out of the pocket and threw the ball into the ground and it didn’t get to the LOS. It was not a screen pass. The receiver was 10-15 yards down field. Why is that not grounding?????

In the earlier game, a QB was hit while throwing and the ball weakly squirted out and he WAS called for grounding. It was obvious he didn’t intentionally throw the ball into the ground.

What happened to the “ball has to reach the LOS” rule? Is that NFL only?

Still has to make it to the LOS. I think they were just going on that it was in the direction of a receiver. I kind of scratched my head too, but I think that was the consensus
