Eugene is looking for teams to fill their Basketball Tournament for next year. The dates are November 26-December 1. There is an opportunity for your JV team to get a game in this week in our other gym also. Please contact Mike Phillips, AD if you are interested.

Conference HS tournaments, dumbest concept ever.....play home and home in league, play conf. tourney, play in some other tourney, play in district.
Nothing like playing the same team 5 times a year when your kids can actually get out and experience different things SMH

I am not a huge fan of Conference Tournaments either but for the sake of it I will make an argument for a way that Conference Tournaments can be a good idea if done carefully.
1. Don't play a home and home schedule (1 game)
2. With the amount of tournaments struggling to fill this guarantees 3 games instead of maybe playing 2 or a stupid round robin 4 team tournament (2 games)
3. Use your other tournaments to go somewhere else and see other teams if you want to avoid your conference teams you can make that choice here (2 games)
So not counting MSHSAA playoff games (districts and beyond) you only have to see the same team 2 times max maybe a 3rd. This is no more than say Linn and Fatima could have potentially saw each other last season (Linn tournament, Southern Boone Tournament, regular season Conference play) they ended up only seeing each other 1 time. So if you are careful you can do it and still see other teams if you would like.
