Yeah this joke was a swing and a miss.
Except the give or take $8M in bowl revenue. Which might be enough to make the university not buyout BOs contract, even though it's just a tick less than $2M. Good part is, if they do buy him out at least they don't have a looming penalty. The new coach knows what he's getting.
Speaking for myself, the NCAA not lifting the post season ban is not really news because I wasn't holding my breath the decision would be overturned/retracted.
Having said that, yes, this obviously affects the program and university in terms of dollars. I just think there are many many more fans, such as myself, that aren't surprised in the least by the "news".
ku and the NCAA are buds. I wouldn't expect ku to get anything more than the velvet glove treatment. Take that as you like.
There is no excuse for this taking this long! A team with this hanging over their head the whole season and there is finally a decision made by the NCAA at thanksgiving on whether or not they go to a bowl game? Has that ever happened to any other team?

I want to take this time to apologize for my posting in regards to the University of Missouri Football program. It was never the intention of the author to hurt or stir negative emotions as it applies to the MIZZOU or 8 man football colleges. I simply wanted to bring levity and light heartiness to a deeply divided message board. I realize now in the age of political correctness there is no place for comedic parity such as this. Please forgive I am humbled.

btw....I wish BO all the best. He was an easy guy to like and really wish he could have been the guy to continue the success GP was able to orchestrate in CoMo. I'm sure he'll land on his feet doing something somewhere in the college football world.
