You dont fix this by practicing harder.
You fix this by getting better players.
21 outfield errors is awful. 20 errors at 1B is atrocious. We led the damn league. If Obie, Ozzie, Tommy, and Keith were dead they would be rolling over in their graves.

I will sit tight waiting for one of the cyber crew to tell me errors are good.

Brewers, Cubs, Dodgers all in top 10 in errors. Just saying.

But I just wet myself thinking about watching that infield again.

I agree they arent the end all. If you have people with incredible range and throwing arms, they can be palatable. That does not describe the Redbirds.

The Brewers and Dodgers were tied for 3rd in errors with 100. But the Cards had 33 more. That's a LOT. To put things in perspective the Nats only committed 64 and they won 6 less games than the Cards. Errors don't look to really mean all that much, except to drive us crazy watching...

Does defensive WAR mean anything to you? Bryce Harper had a -3.2. Worst on the Nats. JMart had a -2.3 for the Cards. Also Oft-maligned DeJong had a 2.1. Second among all NL SSs. As bad as we think the Cards D was they had 2 guys in the top 10 in all MLB in DWAR. Wong at 6 and DeJong at 10. It was the first time the Cards had any player in the top 10 since Yadi in 2013.

I think there's way to many statistics today.

War is the most ridiculous stat I can think of. How can you actually put number on that when you don't know who might be the replacement for said player. As far as I know for all of baseball history the pitcher is the only guy that gets credited with a win or a loss.
