we have missed him a lot the last few years ... Why will players NOT just restructure a contract to stay?

If anyone had a motive to restructure it would have been Berry. KC gave him a lot of dead money.

Still, I think he is going to help a defense immensely on down the road. Dallas} I heard today was talking to him..

Ring of honor? Seriously? Uhm I don't think so.... Not even close! He played 89 out of a possible 147 games. Had 14 interceptions, 5.5 sacks and 445 combined tackles and you think he deserves a mercy rule "Ring of Honor".. wow.

He was "great" when healthy which was not very often. Deron Cherry would get my vote for the best safety that the Chiefs have had.

Deron Cherry 148 games PLAYED. 50 interceptions (top 26 in the history of the NFL) 927 tackles, 15 fumble recoverys (CHIEFS record) and would lay the wood...Berry was good, hell very good for all that matters. With that he played one game his second year, 6 games his 5th year and a total of 3 the last two years. Which we all know were half games. I'm sorry the kid had cancer and sorry he had the injuries he did but the ring of fame just doesn't seem right.

Cherry was better. But, if EB could've just covered Gronk at the end of the AFC Tile game we wouldn't be having this discussion..

Wasn't Johnny Robinson a safety as well? Hell, Berry may just barely be in the top 3!
