That is a picture of the national guard clearing the street in front of the white house for a photo op in front of a church. Nothing illegal about where those people were peacefully protesting.

Did they have permit? It's not legal to just protest when and where ever if you impede the progress and rights of others flooding a street clearly isn't legal if you stop the movement of others...what was the size of the protest. Because above a certain size most parks and plaza require a permit. I bet D.C. is pretty highly regulated on that point.

I suspect all those issues where sorted out before the National Guard Cleared the street and such. If not every ambulance chaser would be out to sue to make a buck.
