Eldon over Fatima 50-43

Possibly. Helias is young. They will be fine. They will be right there at the end of the season where they need to be.
I completely agree. I gave Helias their props earlier. They are talented and they will factor without a doubt. It is just obvious that the tournament clearly zonked all of those teams. Saint James only had one basket in the third quarter vs a hamstrung steelville team in the third place game. Fatima dropped a home game vs eldon and Helias drops a game to a very beatable camdenton team.

The long and short of it was that given the makeup of all these teams (SUPER young) it was predictable to see the let down coming IMO

The season is young. These young teams have a lot to figure out, and they will. Looking forward to the stretch runs and seeing this play out. There are some good teams and good players in this area!

Fatima and Helias both must have both been suffering an emotional hangover after their war in the Fatima tournament. Surprising losses for both the following Monday night.
Not sure about emotional hangover, but very well could be that. I would just chalk it up to high school girls basketball. Seems that any decent team can beat the best of teams on any given night in girls basketball. I know this is true for any team on any given night in any given sport. But I’ve witnessed more upsets over the years in high school girls basketball than in any other. Not sure why, but doesn’t seem to occur as often in boys. Actually, I’m not even really talking about upsets. Lots of times it’s not an upset. I mean I’ve seen girls teams beat a team and then lose to a team that had just lost by 20+ to the team they had just beaten.
And this isn’t a sexist comment and isn’t meant to diminish girls basketball in any way. It’s simply an observation. It’s always befuddled me. Maybe it has something to do with consistency.

Yes, that’s always been my observation too. Girls don’t rely on the one on one stuff like the boys do and the games therefore aren’t as much about one team outmatching the other in terms of athletic ability and thus are less predictable
