Good game. Miller kind of let that one get away. Missed a couple point blank shots in the last minute. Blew 8 point lead at start of 4th. Credit to Eldo though. They aren’t 16-1 by accident. Don’t know if they are a top 10 team in Class 3 though.

If Miller can’t make “point blank” shots when it counts then they don’t deserve to be ranked #1 in Class 2.
Eldo is a top 10 team right now as they have beat some quality teams. Will the finish there?who knows. I've watched Miller several times and they don't strike me as a REAL good team BUT they continue to beat people and that has to count for something. For me personally that style of play bores me but if it's working then go with it. We will see if they are able to get it done at the end. Good job to eldo on that win!
I’m not sure what being a new member has anything to do with that post, but normally a #1 team shouldn’t blow an 8 point lead in the 4th and miss point blank shots especially to Class 3 team not worthy of being in the top 10.
I agree Eldo is solid. The only reason I don’t know if they are a Top 10 Class 3 school is their “Quality wins” are against class 2 schools. They are young and will only get better though.
Miller is very young as they start 4 sophomores and play 3 freshman off the bench. Hopefully they learn from this loss. I don’t know who you think deserves to be No 1 in class 2 as all the good teams have at least 2 losses. Losing to a 16-1 class 3 school who you beat last week doesn’t make you a bad team.
It's the same person who said elsewhere that Clevenger isn't D2 material, even though she's been recruited by, um, D2 schools.
News flash. EVERY team misses close in shots. EVERY team blows leads. It happens to the best teams in the NBA, it happens in college ball, and it happens in southwest Missouri girls high school basketball. Where a team is ranked has nothing to do with it. By "who_dats" definition, no team should ever be ranked #1 unless it's a dominant team like Strafford was the last 4 years since no team is immune to blowing leads and missing layups.
And El Dorado is a very good team, definitely in the top 20 if not top 10 of Class 3 teams in Missouri. They have one of the best 2022 players in the entire state and at least two other really good young players.

I’m sure there are a few. I was just talking about the ranked teams. East Buchanan should move to #1. They have 2 losses as does every top 10 school other than Tarkio in class 2. Adrian should move into top 10.
Adrian would beat them by 20. I think you know that already. College heights really should of upped their schedule this year. Getting 25 wins against weaker teams doesn’t prepare you for making a run at state.

Ash Grove looks very good to me as well. I have saw them 5 times this year. Have been impressed by them. They will be tough in that district with Skyline and Miller. If they beat Miller next week they could end up the #1 seed. Miller has beat them twice but they were both good games.
That Ash Grove group has played together for the last 2-3 years and then you add Gilleland to that and it's a really good team. That said, they face the same situation the Class 3 teams in SWMO did last year, just too many other good Class 2 teams to get through come playoff time and if they were pretty much in any other part of the state they'd be looking at a deep playoff run.
Whoever wins the district (13) out of Miller, Skyline and AG will have to get through probably Adrian in sectionals and whoever wins that should have an easy time of it in the quarter finals over whichever KC or NW Missouri team wins that sectional. Tarkio and East Buchanon may have good records but they don't play the caliber of competition that the SWMO Class 2 teams play.

Yeah that’s a good win over a Maryville team that handled a good California team pretty easily earlier this year. Miller plays East Buchanan a week from Saturday.
