With all the talk of teams changing classes next year, you have to think a little.. what class jump would be the easiest to make?

With the current talent, I am thinking, possibly, Class 4 up to Class 5. Am I wrong?

Only Webb makes an easy transition. No one in class 4 was close.

I disagree, You are talking only 34 schools and how many of those 34 are any good? I mean Glendale was in the final 8 in this area and they could not have beaten cAssville.

Calpreps says cAssville beats them even in the projected match up by two TD.

Class 1 to Class 2, Penney made the jump a few years back and didn't miss a beat. Of course that was before Lamar's run and the STL super teams, but I digress.

apparently class 1 to 8-man cause there's bunch of schools doing that...

No jump is easy for Bosko!

I think the 3 to 4 jump is the big one. In most seasons the winners of 1-3 could compete with each other and the winners of 4-6 could compete with each other. Most years it seems the winner of class 4 would be able to handle the winner of class 3 pretty good.

I would say class 3 to class 4 would be the largest. But mainly because they as so loaded at the top.

And is there another class in the state that the teams have to go thru a program like Webb? I mean most years Webb is the best team in the state and we are not talking about just a small run, I mean we are talking since about 2005 Webb has been incredible and even before then they were very good. Yeah other programs have risen up during that time and won it, but they don't do it on as a consistent bases as Webb City does. I mean a down year in that run for them was 3 loses and a Semi final appearance.

I could definitely see that line moving between class 4 and 5 depending on where the new cutoffs fall.

That’s not a good example in my opinion. Just about every class has week districts. Does Cassville beat Jackson, Eureka, Staley, Carthage, Ft. Osage, Ft. Zumwalt North or Raytown?
Ladies would probably win class 6 district 2 but that doesn’t mean it’s an easy jump to class 6

Could Carthage beat Jackson or Ladue? Carthage the state champ in class 5 is probable not in the top 3 possible 4 in class 4.

Wasn't Jackson the team that Carthage did beat?

Yeah I got that mixed up. But really Bolivar along with Camdenton would have really pushed Carthage, I think Camdenton beats them, and not sure they could get by Bolivar either. I just think class 5 is weaker overall and then you add there is only 30 something schools it makes it really weak. But that is right now, there probable is times that Class 5 was stronger. Probable when some of these class 4 schools were in class 5 like Camdenton.

Exactly... Part of my point, when I said that I believe that Class 4 to Class 5 is currently the easiest Jump.

Since we went to 6 classes, I'd say in most years the top several teams in class 4 are quite a bit better than the top of class 5, and the records and scores between these schools when they do actually meet bear this out over time.

Camdenton didn't do much when they were in Class 5 before. It was a different animal than Class 4.

More Carthage dissing. How many of you idiots even watched more than a game of theirs this year?
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Carthage obliterated Glendale. Now, go look at the Camdenton Glendale game and try again with that.
Carthage was right there with WC for 3 quarters...quit with the Bolivar bologna.
