Bryant is the 2 time defending Arkansas 7A champ. CBC is also playing a pair of IN teams they "should" handle and another huge National one September 28 at Lipscomb Academy (expected to be National Top 20 again this fall) of Nashville TN.

Was CBC able to pick up any scraps from the leftovers of St. Mary's? Or did they all head to Illinois into local apartment housing near their HC?

The Cadets should be pre-season #1 in MO Class 6. The Dragons could drop a whole bunch in my opinion. Given what MSHSAA is doing with classes, though, very hard to speculate about so many teams at this point.

FWIW Lee's Summit North should be #2 with Nixa likely #3. Upmovers like defending C5 champ Francis Howell could enter the rankings, too.

As mentioned they will probably reload. Should be a great game in Joplin.

CBC returns about 10-to-11 starters, but lost most of their line and all of their running backs, which IMO is how they won state two years in a row. They have two receivers who have Power 5 offers and return both of the quarterbacks they rotated so their passing game should be very good.

I actually thought QB was the Cadets' Achilles heel last year. This week 2 matchup will seriously test that OL.

IMO their QB's benefitted from a great rushing attack, which allowed them to have more isolated WR's to throw to plus had the best line in the state. They will be tested from the git-go.

Interesting CBC schedule tidbit: September 29 at Lipscomb Academy the HC is one Kevin Mawae. Never mind Derrick Henry etc. etc. etc. he was probably the best player at his position the Titans have ever had! Cannot wait to see this one! Been looking for an excuse to go to Nashville this may fill the bill.

I remember him late 00s he was stout. Had some injury issues along the way will grant that.
