Is the best movie I have seen in years.

Hilarious. Sad. Disturbing. Real. Well written. Well acted. Star studded cast.

Funny satire on American politics. More giggles than rolling in the floor laughter. Jennifer Lawrence didn't look quite as attractive as in other movies. DiCaprio can flat out act. Ariana Grande song was funny. I did think the satire got a little long in the tooth. I was ready for the finale 15 minutes sooner.
Agree it's sad because that is the way our government would handle it!!

The movie is an indictment of everything that needs to be stopped: celebrity worship, rejection and denial of science, social media insanity, total control of the government by corporate interests, retarded politicians, billionaires who think they are gods, ignorant voters who fall for everything, and “news” shows that try to entertain instead of inform. And it clearly demonstrated all of these things in an entertaining manner.

Completely agree. With that said Toots, how do you land politically where you do? I would love to do a Facebook/YouTube live with you to amicably discuss political things. With what you said, removing the political party and just talking issues and policies, I don't see how you back most of what the democrats push. Policies like open borders, extreme taxation with big government, oil production, climate change, CRT, the complete ignoring of natural immunities ("rejection and denial of science"), abortion, etc.
It looked like they were using Fauci for the Peter Isherwell character.

I often wonder why Dem's hate Mega Corps more than Mega Gov't. Mega Corps like Pepsico, Micro Soft, Amazon can't take away individual rights and Freedoms. Although Google and Facebook are dancing on that line. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of Mega Corps and their undo influence but in reality they can't effect my individual rights and freedoms at all. Only the Govt can enforce and take away my rights as a citizen. Only he Govt. can steal from my Pockets and redistribute my hard earned money to them and their cronies and give back a pitiful amount to the peasants.

But the Dem's worship and call for more Govt at every turn to do this or do that and fix this or fix that.

It's weird how the Rank and File Dem's love Big Govt and expect it to be the answer to everything. They seem to have a Collective hive mind in that regard and are Always focused on Society and it's ills and wanting to force Societal changes fighting the wind mills of ist and phobes in a effort to make things better as Opposed to focusing on the individual character of people and working to make Individuals better humans and then society will easily and naturally become better.

I can't using logic support hardly anything the Democratic Party stands for....Big Taxes, CRT, Open Boarders, Mask Mandates, Forced Vax's. Censorship of opposing View points, electing Weak DA who don't prosecute Crime, and now the Dem's are in bed with the Corporations as much or more than the Rep's, and want tax breaks for the Rich the even rep's walked back on.

Look I can hardly stomach the Rep's with their Leveraging of Abortion(which they don't care about) for votes , how they have been titled towards the Uber Rich in tax's. But at least they want a strong Military , respect the 1st and 2nd Amendments, want to close the Borders to protect some working class jobs, and believe in Law and Order as opposed to Chaos and Crime with weak prosecution and ignoring criminal behavior until it hits their upscale retail centers gosh they are hypocrites.

The Dem's offer me nothing but Feel good Emotional talking points. But weirdly it works on the Population as a whole. They roll out Slick Willie, Smooth Obama and Mumbling Grandpa Joe with easy feel good we will do everything for you propaganda and the Masses eat it up.

I believe what Theodore Roosevelt believed.

We stand for a living wage. Wages are subnormal if they fail to provide a living for those who devote their time and energy to industrial occupations. The monetary equivalent of a living wage varies according to local conditions, but must include enough to secure the elements of a normal standard of living-a standard high enough to make morality possible, to provide for education and recreation, to care for immature members of the family, to maintain the family during periods of sickness, and to permit of reasonable saving for old age.

I've never seen that quote - good one.

I am not anti Mega Corp. The right is blind to the fact that the wealth gap has become out of whack. Most industrial jobs don't pay like GM where assembly workers make $30+/hr. Most factory/laborers/service industry workers aren't able to save much money and live check to check, esp with families. We hear stories of CEOs making 500 Xs more compare to 50 yrs ago than their ave employees - and not just the CEOs but the others at the top of the corporate food chain. It doesn't bother the right that Amazon avoids state and local taxes, Walmart will hire "part time" employees with no benefits working 36 hrs a week instead of "full time" 40 hrs a week to avoid paying benefits, and news stories like the 25 wealthiest Americans pay little or no income taxes.

Is that just for Americans or for all people? For either we need Trump back in office. He was placing high tariffs on imported goods where the worker's standard of living was far, far below the lowest American. By doing this it would bring equity of price thus creating and legitimizing American jobs where the pay scale is higher. If people would look at his implemented policies and stop being offended by his boisterous and sometimes idiotic tweets, inflamed by the liberal media we wouldn't be in this multi-failure nonsense we're in now.

Unemployment at 4.2%, wages are up, unemployment claims at 1.9%, economy improving despite increase in covid. Where is this multi failure nonsense you speak of???? Yes, inflation is up due to supply shortage with goods stuck in ports and companies trying to recoup money lost during pandemic. But that will work itself out when we get goods moving. The doomsday picture painted by Fox isn't reality. People are building and spending.

Trump has no chance in '24. Americans had enough of the Lying King Donald and Jan 6 was the last straw. If Orange Man Bad wins the '24 nomination, the Repubs are giving the election to the Dems.

What did his tariffs do? They made everything we buy from them go up which costs all of us more than before and I'll bet almost no one stopped buy from them. China did NOT just take the hit.

All TR said sound good but in the end it is a lot of emotional drivel. His statement is very subjective and likely would not ever be agreed upon by a group of individuals.

Don't miss the point of the show. We can't depend on the government and media to tell the truth. It's all about the power and money.

Some funny bits I thought.. when the Gates/Musk character sniffed that girl's hair, and when President Streep was busted for sending a picture of her holiest of holies to a married guy, and also obviously the end..
