Just back from a very enjoyable top-down (mostly) 4-day cruze down scenic highway 19 to Southern Missouri and Arkansas.
Hiked to many big springs and visited area parks and curiosities like, Welch Spring,
Akers, Round Spring, Alley Spring/Mill, Big Spring, Blue Springs (3), The Narrows, Greer Spring, Falling Spring/Mill, Rocky Falls, Grand Gulf SP, Mammoth Spring & Depot Museum etc.. AND the many clear running streams..
Great stay in Alton and country fixins at Grandma's Kitchen...
I consider Highway 19 (I-70 to Thayer) to be one of the top scenic byways in the US with it's many hills & curves and enjoyment level for cruzin... .. .O o-
While searching for 'the Narrows' Blue Spring I came across Couch..
