Last tall WR I remember Lamar playing was a semi-final game a few year's back against Layfayette County. That guy just about broke in half. His arms got shorter as the game went on.

I realize the intent on this comment is about the height of a player. But this really shows how little it matters if you have a few studs with height. If you can’t get anyone else going enough to win? It doesn’t matter if that one player goes off or not. Team sport mantra usually shines through. Both of your examples are games where higgy went home empty handed.
