These are trying times.

I know a lot of my fellow Doc Guys are of the "older" crowd and Bosko has disappeared all together. With the older crowd being at a higher risk and me being bored (I was just ordered to stay indoors! Link below)So I figured maybe we need an earlier than usual check-in.

AC Slater is checking in from sunny but locked down southern Cali!

*EDIT - This check-in is for ALL MoSports posters. Not just Doc Guys. Staying TOGETHER in needed now more than ever.

This is Shoot checking in. Been working from home since last Thursday. Gonna go stock up tomorrow. I think a lock down in Missouri IS coming. Just a matter of when.

Not sure we will see a total lockdown in MO.. Our Governor seems to be smart enough to leave things like school attendance, and city maters to LOCAL control....

I hope you're right. I worked in the field of biology for many years and still keep in contact with a few of former colleagues. The data is scary. If we dont take some drastic measures, we will be faced with a serious healthcare problem

While not the state, yet. The KC Mayor announced a shelter in place for Jackson, Johnson, and Wyandotte counties. The KC Mayor has been pretty darn proactive through all this.

Alright! THE Mox is still with us!!
And Corona Free...unlike Joe

Essential personnel is my label so not staying home. Can't say life has changed much other than having to ask for a soda cup at Kum and Go and having my son who is about a month away from his business degree home with campus closed.
I am curious. Was he living on campus? It would be highway robbery if colleges did not refund or credit next semester for dorms and meal plans that students paid for.

Yes, lived on campus. College of the Ozarks......work your way through (15+ hrs, week) for free tuition. Room and board is either work through the summer or pay. He didn't qualify for summer work program and they dropped the remainder of his payments (last one). They are doing classes online now after 2 week spring break and announced that no grade could DROP more than one letter and not below a C with demonstrated effort since they aren't really set up to do online classes (learning process for a lot of older profs).
Side note: My company has announced we are going to start making ventilators. They claim we can make them at a fraction of the current price if we can get parts and clear red tape hurdles. We normally manufacture pharmaceutical equipment (mostly vessels and filtering equipment) so we have a familiarity of designing and meeting the needs of medical companies.

That is a very interesting business model for a college. Needless to say, I would have loved it if my college (UCM) had offered something like that. Glad to hear they are offering students something during all this.

Your company is doing a noble thing. I wish more manufacturers, if they have the capability, would move to producing PPE and ventilators. Really shows what this country can do when we come together. Plus it keeps people employed!!

C of O use to be very hard to get into, I'm sure it still is.

It is income based for 90% (must meet academic standards too). The other 10% are based on personal qualifications (my son was in them). They are VERY strict about behavior too so it isn't for everyone but my son will have his business degree with no student debt! Almost every graduate has no problem getting a job because of work and character traits developed by school requirements. He's very blessed to have been a part of it.
