Districts!

Big day for many teams. Like always some strong teams will be done after districts due to MSHSAA's "geographic" groupings. Some of the better teams that will be getting ready for club ball because they're in the same districts: Blue Springs, BSS, or Lee's Summit North; Park Hill South or St. Teresa's; Ozark or Kickapoo; Villa Duchesne or Westminster Christian; Pleasant Hill or Carl Junction; Buffalo or Lo-Rog; Fatima or Blair Oaks.
How 'bout some final 4 and championship predictions?

I can give a few predictions for SWMO...In class 4, Willard, Ozark, and Republic should all win their districts. That will put them all in the same sectional with the fourth team maybe being Helias? Assuming those four teams get to that sectional, Ozark should be able to win it, but I heard they had a season ending injury this week to one of their outside hitters. If that's true, maybe this sectional will be a little more up for grabs than previously thought.

In Class 2, if all the top seeds in the area make it to sectionals, that would be Mtn Grove, Ash Grove, Fair Grove, and Eldo. Wow, that would be a good sectional. It would practically be the final four if we could ever get that "public school championship" to go through. Anyway, of these four teams, Ash Grove definitely has the talent to win it, but they aren't always strong mentally. If they do win their district and show up focused and ready to play Saturday, they could make a surprise trip to Cape.

I don't know too much about Classes 1 or 3, but Pierce City seems like a shoe in to go to state. I don't expect Buffalo to make it there. Surely their youth and inexperience has to catch up to them at sometime?

All that being said, we all know how weird these girls get in the postseason, so it's anyone's game. Good luck to all!
