District Upsets

Watts has done an unbelievable job at Rog this year. And it’s a really weak district. You may be right.
Sparta over Strafford. They almost got them last year in districts and districts are once again in Sparta.
Skyline beat Sparta by 36. Skyline is looking really strong. They beat Fair Grove and Strafford as well. I think you could see Skyline, ELDO and Fair Grove all in the Final Four.
Ava beat them 54-39 early in the season. The Lady Bears did lose one of their senior guards to an ACL injury during the Pink and White but are still playing pretty good ball.
Skyline seems to coming together at the right time....it took them some time to get rotation down, but they will be dangerous in the post season. I thought after seeing the score of the Tipton game they would struggle after districts, but now they seem to be ready.
Not counting the 4vs5 games I saw there was only 1 upset in the first round of districts in Class 1 - 3. That was Advance in Class 1 as a #6 seed.
Good game by Strafford. They will need to play even better against FG. I think they beat Strafford by 16 on Strafford's home court a few weeks ago. Would not surprise me if they beat FG this time though. FG has a history of losing big games to Strafford. Most recently in the Volleyball State Quarterfinals.
Agree- Watched the Strafford vs FG game and Im not sure Strafford could play much worse than they did. Only 6 points in 1st half. I expect them to come out stronger in this game. Should be a tough battle and fun game to watch.

Greenfield upsets Walnut Grove with big fourth quarter

Looking at the bracket I would say they have a fairly good shot at getting to the final four.
That's true but they still have the same coach. They took Doniphan to wire earlier in the season and Doniphan is bigger too. I think the bigger floor should benefit East Carter they can spread things out a little more and get it to their post players easier.
These are not necessarily huge upsets because the programs are strong but watch Smithville in C5 D8 and Grain Valley in C6 D7.
#2 seeds Pembroke Hill in C4 D14 and Notre Dame De Sion in C4 D13 are also my favorites to win those but, again, not really considered upsets.
Yeah and EC didn't get it done in the paint, I read that Neelyville guarded that quite well but the EC point guard stepped up with 24 points, which she has done several times this season.
