District ranking question?

Just wondering how Kearney is ranked below Lafayette and Excelsior (all with 5-3 record) but Kearney has played Class 5 teams, while Lafayette and Excelsior have played Class 3 teams.

Calpreps rankings, K is #3:

1. Platte County Strength of Schedule = 20.3
2.Smithville 6.2
3. Kearney 15.4
4. Lincoln Prep -16.4
5.Excelsior Springs 1.4
6. Lafeyette -5.2

Funny...because Kearney beat Ray South Class 4 by 35 points. Lafayette beat Class 2 St. Pius..and got points enough to move ahead? What?
