Class 4:
District 6---The coaches in district 4 sure know how to welcome Parkway West. The Longhorns received the toughest draw in district 4, I believe Borgia is the only team who has a chance with Parkway West.
1. Sullivan----------18-6
2. Parkway West-18-5--Parkway defeated Jennings on Friday evening. No other team in district 4 would be a favorite against Jennings and other longhorn wins.
3. Borgia------------15-8----Borgia is the big loser
4. Pacific------------15-8----Pacific is the big winner in this district

District 7:--This will be a Jennings-McCluer final
1. Jennings------21-7
2. McCluer-------17-7--Big-big schedule
3. St. Charles---16-8
4. SCW-----------9-13
5. Zumwalt
6. Riverview

Class 5:
District 3---This will be a Pattonville--Hazelwood Central final.
1. Pattonville-------------13-6
2. Hazelwood Central--17-6--Much bigger schedule then Pattonville.
3. McCluer North--------10-12
4. Howell North----------5-16
5. Hazelwood West-----4-18

Distric 4:This a very interesting seed however SLUH did defeat Chaminade last week but Chaminade got the best draw.
1. SLUH---------------19-6
2. Chaminade---------19-4
3. Ladue---------------16-8
4. Ritenour------------17-7
5. Hazelwood East---6-13

Any other districts with questionable seeds for discussion?

metro. Would Sullivan be able to "gadget" Parkway West?

Parkway west has played a much bigger schedule then the other teams in Class 4 district 6. They have a very good 6'8" player ( Wyatt Yess ) who will cause major problems for the field @ St. Clair. Wyatt can play outside or inside.

Against the " Triangle and two "
x
Study, I would place the two m/m offensive players down on the blocks with the two defensive players on the triangle and 2. The two offensive players not being guarded m/m would move up to the side of the free throw line. making it a 1-2-2 offensive set. This would force the Sullivan coaching staff to move the two zone players to move up with them. If they did not move up, the triangle and 2 would have 4 defensive players on the blocks and offense would have a 3-1 advantage. Coach Dino must be put to the test to see if he has " One Trick Pony " or can his team adjust to the offense.

The offense must force action and hope the two man zone on the low blocks get confused. The Idea is to place the two M/M offensive players with two of the three zone players with hopes it would confuse the " Triangle and two or trick defense.

Using a trick defense usually works against teams who have not had time to practice. I guessing this defense will not be as successful when using it again. Some teams just run their M/M offense against the tricksters and have success if they have the players like Parkway West.

This is what I like about high school basketball, I like surprises and try to figure out how to defeat the surprise.I have even seen a " Delayed Game " used against " Tricksters ". A delayed game sure would cause confusion for the Tricksters if they are behind in the score.

Nice analysis and strategy for the triangle and 2. What about a a box and one on Yess? In that scenario, Coach McKinney would likely have Cody McKinney "shadowing" Yess like he did against Movila (Borgia) (huge height difference). What's your strategy considering Parkway Central's personel?
Obviously, I can't expound on what I'd do offensively and defensively against Sullivan. LOL
I know this is premature. Talented and well coached Pacific, Borgia, Union and St Clair teams could make this discussion moot.

Yess could be placed on the high post ( Sullivan would be looking @ a 1-3-1 or 2-1-2 offensive set. Yess could go to a low block with another defensive player on the block. This would force Dino to make a move on the defensive player on the low block or double Yess. Yess is indeed the man who will give Borgia or whoever big time problems. But playing Wyatt Yess straight up would be a mistake with the personnel in class 4 district 6.
