Did Mtn Grove run off the wrong coach?

All we hear about is the mighty Mtn Grove's trophy case full of local district/conference accomplishments. They brag and snort about their wins and losses, but have yet to even make an appearance to the big game! Their mighty ego has run off many good coaches over the years. Two of which are Steve Ary, now at West Plains and doing very well, and the other is Joel Wyatt whom just took Malden to the dome! That million dollar donation toward a new stadium isn't going to do any good until a good coach is hired, and the local "know-it-alls" let the coach be coach! This years team underachieved in most everyone's opinions...but what do you expect when you hire a YMCA summer league coach?!?!

no kidding you are a member for 10 years and that is your first posts, did he forget the password.
And talk about egos, he mouths MG about how they have run off coaches but then insults the current coach and wants him gone? So who really has the ego?

LOL... No love for coach Stuckey I see. There are a lot of great teams that never make it to the Dome. If you do not make it to the dome, you must be fired and you are a horrible coach!

56 other teams in class 3 would have loved to been playing on quarterfinal saturday. They lost by 2 to aurora so they had a chance to make it to the semis

About the one post in ten years: Don't forget that several longstanding posters had their post counts reset (I seriously doubt that this is his first post ever...)

If the coaches they "ran off" were as good as you claim, why were they not in "the big game"? If the "YMCA summer league coach" is so bad, why did he get as far as the good coaches they "ran off" did?

Maybe it's a case of the SCA site pretty much going bye bye. And just needed a place to vent.

Just about every good coach grove gets, they run off within a few years. Stuckey could have took them to the dome this year and if they would've lost to Burroughs, they'd be calling for his head. It's just how they are.

Is your Pic the kid from Rogersville? If so you need to have him back to talk to the boys. A little motivation

Yep; junior LB from Rogersville, Dylan Cole (third most tackles in the entire nation in FCS this year)

I think he HAS spoken to the LR team a time or two since graduating (could be wrong).

No doubt he will be the primary poster boy for MSU football next year (for what that's worth these days...)
