Dexter 74 - St. James 63 final.

Obviously Dexter's best game of the season. They had a good game plan and the kids carried it out. They defended very well and shot the ball pretty good too. Dexter's Garrison led all scorers with 25 and McKuin added 21. St.James was led by Uffman with 17 and Marlatt had 16. I've seen several St.James games the last few years and I don't recall them ever giving up 70 points.

I would think he was saying they didn't give up, but I will let him speak to that if he chooses. Great high school basketball game last night. Both teams played very hard. St. James folks were as gracious last night as they were when we visited them last year. Great bunch of kids, parents, and coaches. Congrats on your great season and good luck along the rest of the way. We enjoyed having you down last night.

I'd like to see this non-conference game next season as a matinee prior to a Mineral Area twinbill. It has been quite a while since St. James has played (last time v North County?) at MAC as a lead in to a Cardinals doubleheader.

I think they have tried to find a date that would work at MAC, but so far have come up empty. Maybe playing it on a Saturday would work better as you suggested. It is still an almost 2 hour drive for us. How far is MAC from St. James?

My bad Honytonkin. I didn't mean anything about giving up or not. What it should have said I haven't seen them give up 70 points. Don't know why that part didn't get on there. They absolutely didn't give up, they just couldn't it going offensively and couldn't get stops to allow them to get back in it.

And all of it on hilly, curvy blacktop roads except about 15 miles between Park Hills and Potosi.
