Kain said, “The United States didn’t inherit slavery from anybody; we created it,” tracing our alleged creation of slavery back to 1619, over 150 years before the United States was founded.

White Europeans did not invent it, either. If the guilt of slavery can be inherited from one generation to another, then we have all inherited it, we are all stained by it. The institution goes back 10,000 years or more to the Neolithic Revolution. As long as human society has had agriculture, it has had slaves to do the work. The soil on every continent on Earth, save Antarctica, has been tilled by slaves.

I can't argue with any of that. I just happened to look at the timeline of slavery. US did drag it's heels in abolishing slavery compare to Europe and many other places. And the sheer number of slaves in the US had probably never occurred in history, either.

Also interesting the Greeks past the first laws against debt slavery in 6,000 BC.

To be fair we also started much later than Europe did with considerably less infrastructure. Not that it makes it alright, but it could explain the decision to "drag our feet".

It took a 100 years until MLK to make the great changes. All the great civil rights leaders insisted America live up to what is written in the Constitution.

If a person wants to make the argument that black people lag behind because America was hindered by Jim Crow, and black Americans never were not able to leave their property to their families because of this.

There's an argument for this statistically.

Missing from the interpretation of statistics is the fact that the #1 cause of poverty, is a one parent income.

70% of Black families have one parent. It's way too high for white families too, it's approximately 30%.

Not only that housing is so expensive.

Is it though?
I can remember being in drivers ed (40 plus years ago) driving by a build site and everyone remarking about the majesty of the house being built. "Who could afford that" we asked. The instructor said he used to play for the Chiefs. That house today is below most peoples standards. Same house, well maintained but just an average home. The house I grew up in would probably be cause for child neglect.
True. My parents first real home was 3 bedroom split. Not much but we moved up because "My privilege", was being born in a family that had two college educated bread winners. Although both, left Ag life behind and paid there way and worked through MU.
Regardless of race, the unprivileged often times live in trailer courts or approximately the same in the city, with all the problems too.

And they raised a stupid son. Who doesn't know when to use "paid there way" and paid their way. Make 'em proud and call Tim Kaine an idiot.

I will catch you again making grammatical errors. Too funny.
The last time I caught you, you wrote, There instead of They're in big bold font.
