They were talking about that last night on CNN on Sirius XM. But they brought up that Biden was passed up for Hillary. Obviously not the same situation, but they kind of used that as the basis for why it would be ok to pass up Harris.

They can take the money and put into a super pac. The donors are holding on to their money to see what happens. A new candidate would have enough money very quickly.
Manchin isn't just disliked by progressives. Voting rights act and other popular bills were blocked by Manchin.

Well then....there in lies the problem. I don't agree anymore with the ultra libs than I do with the radical right. I want a Moderate who is willing to compromise to get some things done. I don't know that Manchin is the right guy all around, but I want some one who can see that we need to work with both parties to get things done, and that its not a bad thing. Lib and Maga are not willing todo that.

Joe Manchin didn't want to work with anyone. He wanted to be the reason the Dems didn't get what they were trying to do, so he could be a "moderate". If he tried to work with Biden he might have been in a stronger position.

Biden made moves during Covid that reduced childhood poverty by 24%

Dems have passed bill after bill to help families with tax breaks for child care and family leave and free and reduced lunches for people who need help and had them blocked by the GOP often. My mom got a “tax cut” when her insulin went down to $35 max, and her other commonly used drugs were reduced thanks to Biden. Those things help everyday Americans.

Trump brought back tax deductions for the two martini lunch and yacht purchases.

Historically our taxes right now are ridiculously low. They should be at their old level and the rich people and corporations should be paying Reagan level taxes.

GOP wants to ignore climate change, receive huge forgiven PPP loans, and let you keep paying soaring homeowners insurance. and gripe about entitlements that we paid for.

You understand they didn't have the majority to beat a GOP block right? The congressional rules are made for the minority to block whatever they want if the majority doesn't have a large numbers advantage.

I may be wrong but I think Manchin was one of the reasons Biden couldn't make them permanent.
