Machines that are not generally used for envelopes are not being used are deactivated. As opposed for the ones used for packages. This has been happening since 2011.
1985 480,000 blue mailboxes
2011 160,000
More vanishing every day. Why? because people aren't using them. Another Democrat conspiracy debunked.

So the postal service has not run at a profit for a very long time.

It pays high union fees, negotiating bad contracts and looking for bailouts by the American taxpayer.

UPS and FedEx run at a profit.

The internet killed it.

They've been experiencing significant problems during COVID19 because mail volume has been dropping.

So when the Republicans say, we are not bailing out USPS there's nothing wrong with this.

Dude there is waaaay more people sending and getting stuff in the mail now than they have for a LONG time.

Sure. Brian. So do you know about email? Covid19 isn't affecting a bankrupt business?
More people are getting and ending MAIL because they down't want to go to stores dipped. It's the same for Fedex and UPS, drivers say it was like Christmas in July package delivery, but the mail men, and women, have been covered up too. I don't know now many packages I've seen being delivered by the postal workers at 7 pm or later. They're running mail trucks with nothing but packages in the daytime and well after normal hours.
