Cowherd's opinion of the SEC

I thought our resident Coward finally wrote something of substance about the SEC.
Collin Cowherd has absolutely no credibility. Mid November he had sources saying USC had landed their "big-fish" and he knew the coach's name. Turns out USC didn't land a big fish. Collin lives in LA area and can't even get the scoop correct in his local area. He's a shock jock of sports radio.
In general I agree with you but on this particular subject he is right. Outside of Mississippi St I don't see very good QB play in the rest of the SEC and apart from Bama the SEC has been way down the last couple years, especially this year. When FCS teams are beating you and taking your top teams late in the 4th quarter or OT in November that is a bad sign.
I also think Bama has a great defense but a 1-man offense. This is not the Bama O-line of several years ago and their WRs are not Julio Jones or Amari Cooper.
I agree that sometimes he just like to hear himself talk. But on this he has a valid point. The SEC is not anywhere near what it was, and many people, both media and especially fans just don't want to admit it. Now, Could Bama win the National Title? Yes, without a doubt. But their resume, as of right now, is not the greatest.
I want to see an OU Bama match up and see OU destroy them. I'm a Mizzou fan and i get sick of the SEC talk. The SEC has been way down and the east has been awful.
Would love to see that. But that being said, despite the fact that they are getting more credit than their resume shows they should get, the Tide can flat out play and Sooners would have to be at their best to get any kind of win.
I agree with all except your first sentence. However, Cowherd has the cerebral equivalent of a can of corn. I don't think he could ever be accused of having an original thought in his life. Anything he espouses he has obviously heard and adopted from someone who can observe and reason. In other words, someone who can process information, think, and conclude.
But maybe that what works for a national guy now... I mean look at Jim Rome. He has done that for YEARS... his three hour show could easily be done in an hour.
never said who was better, never said who I thought would win if they played... but going into today.. the only thing on Alabama's resume that was better than Oklahoma was that their loss was is considered a better loss. OU has beaten more top rated teams, no way to argue that.... If the names are removed from the resumes and just look who has done what, the Sooners have done more. Again, thats not to say they are better, and not to say they are going to win.. its just how it is. If OU was an SEC team and Bama was not, you would be arguing the opposite. And if Bama was not Bama they would not have been #2 last week. Would love to see what the committee would have done had Arkansas not pulled of the crazy fourth down play.
OU can when you only have 10 teams in the conference. Not possible with the SEC/BIG/ACC.
