Now that Anderson has hired him to replace Fuller..................can he deliver Tyler Cook?

This was a very good hire for the Missouri Basketball program. Cory Tate graduated @ Pattonville high school, played basketball for the Missouri Tigers, a successful coach @ Mineral Area Junior College and coaches the St. Louis Eagles during the AAU season. The St. Louis Eagles have players who can improve the Missouri roster every year. Cory Tate can be a big asset in the day to day coaching of the Missouri roster and could prove to be a worthy recruiter. We must remember the Missouri coaching staff has very little experience @ the D-1 level.

I believe Kim Anderson can still improve the Missouri coaching staff but it may take a couple of years to get it right and time is not on his side. Kim Anderson needs the " Future is now approach " to secure his position as coach of the Missouri Tigers after this season.

We must give credit to Swishmeyer for pointing out on MoSports the availability of Cory Tate as a coaching prospect for the Missouri Tigers.

Good luck to Coach Tate at Mizzou. Hope he can get em some players to get them headed in the right direction. Will be interesting to see who MAC comes up with for a head coach, should be a lot of interest in that job.

I am beyond ecstatic! Corey is a GREAT choice and as Coach Dean would say, "An absolute NO BRAINER of a hire"! This now gives the Mizzou Staff a member with as Metro Dude would say, "Living Room Ability"! I now feel that they have someone who can go into most homes in the StL/Metro East Area and leave with Hugs, Handshakes, and Commitments!

3Rfan, I believe successful Maplewood coach Cory Frazier is ready for the the next level challenge. Cory is a former standout @ Charleston high school and played college basketball @ St. Louis University. I hope Cory makes contacts with the Athletic Director @ Mineral Area to show interest..

Can we name others who might have interest?

Frazier would be a good choice for MAC, I agree with metro-dude. Would like to see Frazier make the move to the next level.

Maybe Justin Tatum will get the job and bring his son with him when he graduates. ( I don't know where to find the smiley faces on this new format)

I like Tatum or Fazier. How about Brett Hale?

I may be wrong but I was under the impression that the current assistant Cedric Brown was brought in with this very thing in mind. Although I like most of the names already mentioned quite a bit more.

He might have been but some pretty reliable sources told me he was sent packin from his previous job for very good reasons.

Yeah you've said that before. I'd be interested to know what those reasons were. I've looked around and can't find anything on the world wide web about what might have happened. I suppose there wasn't much interest in it either way. And I'm not saying he's who I'd like to see. I'm just repeating what I was told from a source a little closer to the situation than I. Guess we'll see how reliable that source is.

He might be their guy, I have no idea if he's good coach or not. Maybe we'll get to find out. Does Tate's new job mean he won't be coaching the Eagles anymore?

He's not allowed to do both - pretty sure he can coach the Eagles thru July but that will be it - with that said this hire was to get Cook - if that doesn't happen - not a good move at all because this staff won't be around to get the talented freshmen they are after

I didn't figure a D-1 assistant would be allowed to have that much contact with possible recruits. If they only hired him to get one kid it was a bad hire anyway you look at it. Who is Cook?

They didn't hire Tate to just get one kid...And the next MAC coach will come from the outside.

Hey 3Rfan
